Best Places to See The Fall Colors in Colorado

Best Places to See The Fall Colors in Colorado

Colorado is known for its beautiful landscapes ranging from the Rocky Mountains to the southern Mesas, and it’s no surprise that it’s one of the best places to see the fall colors.

If you’re looking for a great place to peep the leaves this season, here’s my list of 5 beautiful places to enjoy fall and see the fall colors in Colorado:

1. Kebler Pass. This may be a bit farther away, but it’s worth the drive to see the amazing fall colors. Kebler Pass, in Gunnison, has the largest Aspen grove in North America.

2. Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park. This drive is beautiful and tops out at 12,100 feet in elevation, giving you a gorgeous view of all the trees changing colors.

3. Telluride. Hop on the free gondola in Telluride for one of the best views of the fall colors! This is a fun and very authentic Colorado way to see the sights.

4. Maroon Bells. The most photographed peak in America, this is the perfect place for a fall hike filled with yellows, oranges, and reds along the way.

5. Georgetown Loop Railway. Hop aboard! This is a fun way for the whole family to enjoy a train ride through the blooming fall colors in the mountains.

Happy Fall! I hope you can get outside to see the beauty of the changing season, whether it’s a drive through the park, a hike in the trees, or enjoying views from the Colorado mountain tops.
